Mekasonic was growing
Mekasonic loudspeaker was getting exposure all over India
When I started writing this Blog, I registered the domain name as loudspeakermaking.blogspot.com but then during last month I decided to change it as :
mekasonicloudspeaker.blogspot.com because this blog is all about creation and growing together with the Mekasonic brand. While doing such changes, these blog pages disappeared from the web because of some mismatch of domain names. It was showing as address not found. However, after lots of efforts and spending time it started showing again in the new link. The earlier link is still not getting redirected to the new one due to some technical issues.
Because of such an unwanted problem, it got delayed to prepare the current post.
In the last post I told how the range of mekasonic products were developed. These were a complete range of speakers ( 5" to 18") , Woofers, Mid range and Tweeters , Crossover networks, speaker enclosures and accessories.
It took about 12 years to do all these. Actually speaking, development is a continuous process. A running product is also upgraded from time to time. Some models are added, some discarded and that way the entire process goes on.
As I told earlier, apart from the concept of manufacturing, marketing of products is the most important part of doing business successfully.
Everything does not go well for a first generation entrepreneur. Mistakes and wrong decisions are very common. Some ideas click some don't. These are part of the game.
I also made frequent experiments in running the venture. Some worked, some failed.
As the brand mekasonic was getting known to customers, I started attending seminars and take part in small exhibitions particularly for small industries and Electronic fairs.

Attending these exhibitions were very much beneficial to get exposure to Govt officials, important personalities and also to many serious buyers who could interact with me directly to discuss about their quarries.
A parallel effort for attracting buyers was small and affordable advertisements in widely circulated trade magazines like Electronics For You and some other similar journals. At that time advertising was not very costly. Advantage of such publicity was to get introduced with dealers and actual users all over the country. A few such matters are here :



These advertisements were published regularly during the period of 1985 - 1995. By then mekasonic was quite a known brand all over India to the Dealers and users of audio products.

Congratulations, Mr. Mukherjee. It is a very nice experience reading about your journey of courage, confidence, faith and success. And all this research and development without Internet means a lot more persistence - I can quite understand it, because I got it.... tutorials and sources for technical study.... much more easily.
