Initial developments of Mekasonic Loudspeaker In my previous post I wrote about how I started my venture of making  mekasonic loudspeaker. After the ball started rolling, the next focus was up gradation of product quality with better look and improvement of technical specifications. It involved a lot of experiments spending time and money to get results. Initially I started finding out the users -both individuals and commercial , who were looking for good quality speakers. That was through my friends, relatives and other contacts. It was hard to convince people that I have made a good quality Loudspeaker here which can be compared with branded products. I used to visit them with prior appointments and arrange for live demonstrations. One of my observations was that the individual users were interested only for high fidelity speakers - woofer and tweeter for using with their high power stereo amplifiers. Early days of Mekasonic Loudspeaker

Hi friends, I am Aloke Mukherjee. I started making Loudspeaker in Kolkata, India in the year 1973. The brand name of my product was mekasonic In those days there were not many manufacturers of loudspeakers in India. Most of the speakers available were famous international brands like  Philips, Goodman's, Wharfedale, Celestion, Altec,Tanoy etc.   A Philips 12 inch woofer (made in Belgium)    A Goodman's Speaker of 60's and Tweeter with Volume Control A Harman Speaker of Delhi      Known Indian brands were Bolton, Philips, Harman, and some other Manufacturers around Delhi.  I had some interest in High Fidelity sound system.
